This challenging book offers a comprehensive and critical appraisal of the profound transformation of competition law during the last three decades in the United States and in Europe. By placing economic efficiency at the centre stage, economic thinking has greatly contributed to this change of ''paradigm'' and plays now an important role in the formulation of legal norms.
